About Hullproof
We help owners, superintendents, and class societies document hull and asset condition quickly and reliably—with AI that turns inspection video into structured reports and audit trails.
What we do
Hullproof is a maritime asset integrity platform. You upload hull inspection video (or provide a link); our AI analyzes condition and returns structured, audit-ready output.
- Analyze
- Biofouling, corrosion, damage, propeller and coating condition
- Deliver
- Risk score, problem areas with timestamps, actionable recommendations
- Export
- PDFs suitable for internal use, class, flag, and insurers—with a full audit trail so results are verifiable
- One source of truth
- One analysis, multiple views (inspector, CFO, compliance)
We built it so that ship owners and technical managers can document condition and prepare for strict ports (e.g. Australia, New Zealand) without manually interpreting hours of raw footage.
What we don't do
- We do not use your footage, images, or documents to train our AI
- We do not sell or share your data for advertising
- We process your data only for your analysis and your report
Built in Norway
Hullproof is developed in Norway. We stand on Norwegian maritime tradition: reliability, traceability, and clear rules. Norway is recognised globally for quality in shipping, offshore energy, and maritime regulation—we take that seriously. Your data is processed with the same standards: we do not use your videos or images to train our AI; we use them only for your analysis and your report. For details, see our Data & AI page.
We are based in Arendal, on the Norwegian south coast—a place with a long shipping and maritime history. That heritage informs how we build: robust, transparent, and fit for professional use.
Founder
Jarle Haugereid
Civil engineer in the maritime sector with many years of experience in hull and asset integrity. I have worked with inspection, coating systems, and documentation for class, flag, and operators—and saw how much time and risk sits in raw video that nobody has time to review properly.
Hullproof exists so that ship owners and technical managers can document hull condition quickly and reliably—without manually interpreting hours of footage. I want the same inspection to support the superintendent, the CFO, and compliance—one analysis, one audit trail, multiple stakeholder views.

Beyond commercial shipping
The same AI and platform can be adapted quickly to other sectors that rely on underwater or exposed asset inspection. We are prepared to extend Hullproof to:
- Offshore wind – foundations, substructures, corrosion and structural condition
- Hydropower & dams – intakes, gates, penstocks, and underwater structures
- Bridges & piers – subsea foundations, pilings, and waterfront structures
- Subsea cables & pipelines – condition, damage, and coating
- Aquaculture – nets, cages, and structural integrity
- Naval & defence – hull condition and acoustic-related inspection
Today we focus on ship hulls; the architecture is built so that adding a new vertical is a matter of context and prompts, not rebuilding the product. If you operate in one of these sectors and need structured, auditable inspection reports, we can move fast.
Data and AI
We do not use your footage, images, or documents to train our AI. We process them only for your analysis and your report. For the full picture, read Data & AI – Your data is not used to train our models.
